Our Soul Dog
It’s hard to put into words just how much Henry meant to us. He wasn’t just a pet – he was our soul dog. Sensitive, intuitive, and endlessly loyal, Henry had this quiet way of always knowing what we needed. He was in tune with our emotions in a way that felt almost human, a constant shadow who was never far from our side.
Henry shared a deep, unspoken bond with my us, as well as with his grandparents. He had a presence that filled every room he entered; calm, gentle, and always watching. Whether we were out for a walk, driving in the car (which he loved), or playing fetch with his favourite green ball, Henry’s joy was infectious. Everything was his favourite, because everything was an adventure if we were by his side.
He was also the most amazing big brother to our girl, Maggie. Playful, patient, and quietly protective; he showed her the ropes with such gentle guidance. Their bond was something truly special, and watching them together brought us so much happiness.
One of our most treasured memories is how he would gently rest his paw on your arm while you scratched his chest. If you dared to sto p, he’d give a soft little nose nudge — his polite but persistent way of asking for more. And when it was time to play, Henry would “talk” to us, his voice full of excitement and mischief, like he was trying to say, “Let’s go already!”
Saying goodbye to him broke our hearts. The house felt so quiet, so empty. We knew we couldn’t just let him go; we needed a way to keep him close, to carry his memory with us wherever life takes us. That’s when we found Reterniti. From the moment we reached out, the team at Reterniti were incredibly supportive, kind, and professional. They understood what we were going through, and treated Henry’s memory with such care and respect.
The cremation stone they created for us is not just something beautiful, it’s something deeply personal. It’s him. Always close, just like he was in life.
