About Us

What is Reterniti?

AN INNOVATOR IN MEMORIALS

Reterniti is a global innovation solving the age-old question of what to do with a loved one's ashes after cremation.

At Reterniti we convert your loved one's ashes into a tasteful, discrete Stone, known as a cremation stone.

Available for both people and pets, and offered in either full sized Reterniti Stones or smaller Pebbles, each one is intended to be a tactile connection to your loved one.

Unlike ashes in an urn or box, Reterniti Stones are meant to be held.

You never have to say goodbye.

And you'll never forget them.

We’ve Known Loss.

BUT YOU CAN KEEP THEM CLOSE

We've experienced the heart-wrenching loss of family members, both people and pets, and can still feel the emptiness of where they used to be.

It’s bad enough to lose them physically.

But it’s worse to forget them.

We don’t want any person or pet to be forgotten.

We held our family close when they were living, we want to do the same when they’ve departed.

A Reterniti cremation Stone, made from your loved one's ashes, gives you a physical alternative to storing their ashes in a box or urn; left on a shelf or tucked away in a cupboard. Untouched and forgotten.

A Reterniti Stone is them.

Inspiration Behind Reterniti

Reterniti was inspired by events in Sydney, Australia.

Our founder, Peter, lost his first golden retriever, Hogan, at just 10 years old. He took Hogan's ashes to a local park with his two young sons in Sydney and dug a small hole for the ashes beneath a boulder - aptly named Hogan's Rock, upon which Hogan used to lay and wait.

Much to his family's horror upon visiting a few years later they discovered that not only had Hogan's Rock been moved, but the council had built a toilet block over his ashes burial spot.

It was at that moment that Reterniti was conceived.

There had to be a better solution than to just loose ashes.

Why are we called Reterniti?

Often misspelt as Returnity, Returniti or Reternity, we are pronounced ‘Return-ity’. Our name speaks to our ethos of never being forgotten, of returning for eternity.

Similarly our logo purposely evokes a road seemingly heading into the distance, an eternal road.

Where are we based?

Since early 2025, Reterniti has called the beautiful seaside city of Warrnambool, in south west Victoria, home. Our Australian workshop is based here, servicing all of Australia.

While the inspiration for Reterniti began in Sydney, Australia, our first facility was commissioned and remains in Christchurch, New Zealand, since in 2021.

We chose a ’characterful’ ex antique shop for our pilot production facility.
